Plasma Rich Therapy //
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy is a proven method for those suffering from foot and ankle injuries. Many professional athletes already use PRP to speed up the recovery of muscle trauma, surgical wounds and other injuries.
Platelet Rich Plasma, found in our blood stream, is plasma enriched with platelets. PRP contains several different growth factors to hasten the recovery of bones and soft tissue.
How does this work? First, we take a small blood vial from the patient and spin it until the PRP visibly separates from the rest of the blood. Then, we inject PRP at the injury site to stimulate and accelerate bone and soft-tissue healing.
It's an injection that heals tissue, slows down degeneration with little or no pain. We're now using PRP to treat patients who suffer from a variety of injuries:
-
Arthritic joints
-
Sports injuries
-
Achilles tendonitis
-
Plantar fasciitis
